Bonnie Phipps said she got out and went to church Sunday and that she didn’t have any company last week, only phone calls.

My rain for last week was one-tenths of an inch last Monday, one and one-tenths of inch last Tuesday. The grand total for June seven and a half tentths of an inch.

I have been over at Mary Lou Garfits several days last week. Last Tuesday when I took my news in I took Kay’s eggs into her at the newspaper office.

I will be the leader in Bible study this Wednesday. We are in Romans, chapter 9.

I stopped by Tara Coonce’s and saw Jett Thursday before I went on over to Mary Lou’s.

I had to pack my clothes Thursday evening to go to the lake Friday so I didn’t get to go with Mary Martha Williams, Marie Dickey, Carol Moore and Doris Morrison to the Jerry’s Whirlwinds at the El Ranch truckstop and restaurant where I know they really enjoyed themselves.

Friday morning I went to town and paid some bills and then when I came back I packed all my stuff in the car and headed for Branson to the Castleview RV Resort. I made it down there just fine, I got there at 2:40. You make good time on the high road. For supper that night we had chicken that I had cooked that morning.

Saturday afternoon we all went up to the pavilion and ate a big meal then we made homemade ice cream with cow milk and was it good and they ate my blackberry cobbler that I had taken down there and there was a cherry and apple pie so I had some pie with my ice cream.

Sunday morning we were back up there and ate breakfast where we had ham, bacon, sausage, gravy, biscuits, which came from Mona’s Café and were they ever good. We also had fried eggs and scrambled eggs. While they were cooking all of this there was a few of us sitting out front singing gospel songs and guess who sat right beside me, Vernal Blakey and I wouldn’t trade that moment for anything in the world.

Sunday night most of us went up th the castle and sat and watched the fireworks being set off until the wind got up and it clouded up so we went back to camp and it wasn’t long before it started to rain. It rained all through the night. Those at the lake were Vernal and Ellen Blakey, Ellen’s folks – Bill and Deloris Vaughn, Les and Shirley Muncy and Dee, her cousin, Peggy Lucas, brother, Chuck Vaughn, and very good friend, Karen Jacobs and Johnathan Vaughn and his friend, but I didn’t get his name, brothers, John and Buba Vaughn, Dan Raborn and friend, Stormy Gutierrez and some other friends,  Nida Imhoff and son, Dalton of Topeka, Kansas, Kim and Doug Bullged, Brian and Julia, Jakie Perry, Chris Hendrix, and Jim and Linda Cochran, which I met last year.

It sure was hot down there, but I guess it was hot up here too.

Keep praying for all our sick folks so they will get well.
