Smallett

Sunday morning was opened with prayer requests and prayer and welcoming.

More hymns then Venita Brummet sang a beautiful special.

Brother Roberts brought the message from Galatians 5:16-17, “Walking in the Spirit.”

Brother Cody Prock brought the evening message from II Timothy 2:1 and Acts 16:16.

Prayer requests were made for sister Cheryl Hopper who is back in the hospital and Brother Mahlon Schmucker who fell off the roof and is really sore.

Clo Ella Leverenz of Springfield visited Jerry and Suanne Sutherland on Saturday of last week. Nora Edwards, Betty Cazzell and Georgia Gillham visited with Suanne on Thursday.

Spending last week with Bob and Nora Edwards were her sisters Georgia Gillham of Kansas City, MO. and Betty Cazzell of Mosby, MO. They all attended the Phipps-Cunningham reunion on Saturday. Nora, Betty, Georgia and cousin, Arlena Maggard, enjoyed spending Sunday through Tuesday in Branson attending several music shows.

Gathering at the home of Bob and Nora Edwards on Wednesday evening for a weiner roast were Betty Cazzell, Georgia Gillham, Toby and Jacinda Sheppard, Kendra Walker, Shawn, Miranda, Alexis and Braxton Swearengin. Nora returned her sisters to their homes on Friday. She then spent another day visiting with family and friends before returning home.

On Monday, I visited with Stacie, Mahayla and Miley Hamby. I finished the quilt I was working on for my granddaughter, Hailey Carter. It turned out really pretty.

I visited with my Aunt Violet Morris and she is doing pretty good, but Uncle Hugh is not doing so good right now.

I joined fifteen other ladies from Walnut Grove Church on Saturday and we made a trip to Ozark where we shopped then had lunch at the Village Inn Restaurant then we all enjoyed the live production of “Song of the Prairie” at the Stained Glass Theater. It was really a good day and we were all tuckered out by the end of the trip.

I have cucumbers blooming and Delmar has tomatoes as big as small eggs. I look forward to having lots of vegetables to eat and share and  also, to can for the winter.

On Sunday evening, we enjoyed a visit with Pauline Okhousen who stopped by after church.

Delmar and I went to my moms, Nora Hunsaker, after church and she had lunch ready for us. I appreciate it, Mamma, it was really good. We later visited with Keith and Donna Bannister and Shawn, Summer and Caidence Johnson in Mansfield, MO.

Just remember to ask yourself, “ Does the Holy Spirit have all of you?”
