Sandy Church

It was Father’s Day and we thank God for the Godly fathers in our church.  Each Dad received a mug and was prayed for by Frances Humbyrd.  We are proud of you, Dads.

Prayer concerns were for John Watson, Pat Dobbs, Donna Witchey, the Gerald Linder family, Claude Koenig’s family and Camp this week.  It is Intermediate Camp for 5th and 6th graders.  Corby and Lisa Lux are the directors and Corby is the evangelist.  Abby Dobbs and Katie Hodges are the campers from our church.  Doyle Humbyrd led us in this prayer.

Josh Dalton prayed the offertory prayer as we gave back to God his tithes.  Testimonies were shared; some told stories of their father, but we were most thankful for our Heavenly Father.  For we have a heavenly father above who loves us more than we can understand.  It is so good to be his child.  Gerald Nall gave praise for taking 30 students from Ava to Joplin and watching how well they worked.  He also gave praise to be in church with all three of his daughters and families.  They are Trish, Van and Cody Menzies, Tammy and Kendall Call and two daughters, Tyla, Paul and Karston Duckworth.

LeaAnn and Erin Crum sang. Pastor Neal prayed and read from Matthew 6.  He ask us to stand and repeat the Lord’s Prayer.  Our daily dependence is upon our Heavenly Father.  He knows better than we about our needs.

Aaron and Melissa Dalton were in children’s church.

At 6 p.m., we began with singing after Pastor Neal opened with prayer.  LeaAnn and Erin sang. Pastor Neal read from Luke 6.  Jesus lifted up his eyes on his disciples.  “Lord, let us be under the eyes of Jesus our Lord”.

Each Tuesday is special prayer time.  Wednesday is Bible Study.  You are welcome to come and join us in our Lord’s house.
