R.E. Helsey visited with Tom and Jewell Johnson last week. Brenda Haden and Aletha Sullivan also visited. Their sons, Larry Johnson and Lowell Johnson, grandson, Kent, and other members of the family are Tom and Jewell’s daily help.
Norma Stillings attended the Ladies Retreat June 8 to 11 at Camp JOY. There were ladies from West Plaines, Mansfield, Norwood, Marshfield, Mtn. Grove, Summersville, Oldfield, Ava, and places in between. The theme, “What are you doing for Christ with your life?” taken from Colossians 3:23, “And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men:” They enjoyed Bible studies and messages on that theme. There was also a lot of congregational singing, Bible games and quizzes, eating, snacking and visiting with old friends.
