Some folks stayed home from church Sunday because it was so hot, but next Sunday you will know you can come, even on the hottest summer days, we have one of those new fangled “air conditioning” units that keeps the whole church house nice and cool. So come on in, “it’s cool.”
The morning service began with a special from Linda Prock and Lola Mayberry, accompanied on the piano by Sandra Davis then Ella Fay Mitchell sang an a cappella number.
We were also blessed with several guests this Sunday including Den and Careen Sicilia and their five beautiful children and Delena Osburn and her daughter, Stephanie. Delena also had a newborn that made us all oooh and aaah.
Our morning message addressed the question, “Where do the lost go, after this life?” If you don’t know the answer, come and be our guest, any time; I’ll be happy to share the answer with you – and the alternative as well. “be forewarned, there is a four-letter word involved that begins with an h and ends with an l.)
Our evening message was entitled “Evidence – Presentable Physical Evidence” in which we explored the evidence of obedience to God, in Old and New Testament scripture, as well as evidence we exhibit in our lives, or the lack thereof.
Yep, you guessed it, I still had your seat reserved; “Where were you?”
