A beautiful summer day this past Lord’s Day, if you didn’t have a wonderful Father’s Day, you certainly missed a good chance. We honored all of our fathers and enjoyed worship together with them.
Our morning message was entitled “Be Strong,” taken from several different quotations in the book of Joshua. For instance the admonition in Joshua 1:9, “Have Not I Commanded Thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the Lord thy God is with thee, withersoever thou goest.”
We have not only the same admonition, to “Be strong and of a good courage,” we also have the same promise that our Lord is always with us, wherever we are.
Again we looked around and found plenty of extra seating. I know you didn’t come because you thought the church was full to overflowing, bursting at the seams, “Not!” We not only had seating for you in the auditorium, there are even two new chairs in the foyer, so you have no excuse. Come on, be our guest.
