Tuesday morning the ladies lifted up many prayer requests to the Lord. During Wednesday evening Bible study we had an attendance of 18. We watched a Reader’s Digest movie on great people of the Bible.
Saturday night after much anticipation, we had an ordination service for the office of Deacon at New Hope. Bro. Mike Santos and Bro. Lyndon Ludwig were ordained as Deacons. Pastors officiating the service were Bro. Scott Eaves, Bro. Doug Irwin, Bro. Justin Lawson, Bro. Darren Wright and Bro. Roy Hampton. We pray blessings upon all who were involved and especially for the new deacons and their families. 44 people witnessed the laying on of hands as the two men entered into the oath of servitude to God and His church. During Sunday morning services we had 27 in attendance. We lifted up our requests for prayer and dismissed to Sunday school. After Sunday school the children sang songs and had their penny march. Bro. Scott delivered the morning message from Romans 6:19-23, “Don’t look back; free from the bondage of sin.” We are victorious over sin through the covering of the blood of Jesus. Do we live for sin or for God? We are forgiven and our sins were forgotten through that blood covering – don’t look back on it forgive ourselves – Jesus did and He freed us from that bondage so that we can be a testimony to others and so we could be sent out to win other souls to the kingdom of God.
During evening service we had an attendance of 21. We had prayer requests and sang songs. We had specials done by Lori, Shanna, Anthony and Abbey, Larry and Squeak. Our message was delivered from Proverbs 15:1-6, “A Soft Answer.”
