Mt. Tabor Church

Most of our congregation was back together Sunday, for a good day of study and worship. We were happy to celebrate Father’s Day and gave gifts from the church for our oldest father, Martin Hathcock, and our youngest, James Christensen, as well as small gifts to everyone else. We had small remembrances of our fathers, as well as some poems to honor fathers.

Brother Dennis preached his sermon about the comparison between our fathers and our heavenly Father, reading from Ephesians 6.

Sunday night we will have Brother Max Stephens as our guest speaker, come and join us if you don’t have a regular church to attend.

Hellen Blakey and Kay Hutchison volunteered at Camp Piland on Thursday, with a good turnout of children.

Mae Cox reports the wildfires in Arizona and Texas are getting close to her sister, Sylvia Pinkle. Thetis and Huba Pruiett are also getting rest up from their trip to the Owens Reunion and she also talked to brother, Johnny, as well.

Bessie Hall’s visitors last week were Leoma Mackey and daughter,  Lisa Johnson and Jesse, Jewell Elliott, J.C. Hall, Tim Hall and children, LeAnna Elliott and Logan.

Kay Hutchison attended a good church service at Girdner Church Sunday night with Jim and Maxine Lund.
