Gentry Church

Opening prayer and devotion to start our Sunday morning service was by Joie Welker. After congregational singing, all went to their classes where ourlesson was on “God Is Victorious.” As we continue to be in the book of Joshua. We leanrd by the people being obedient and putting their faith and trust in God. The walls of Jericho came tumbling down. Archaeologocial records indicate that the was was a double wall, the outer one six feet thick and the inner one was twelve feet thick. We can be victorious in simply following God’s instruction.

Happy birthday wishes goes out to Jim Ginder and Jade Young.

Happy Anniversary wishes goes out to Janice and George Young celebrating 45 years of marriage.

Several attended the Fourth Sunday Singing at Happy Home Church. Friday night July 1 at 7 p.m., we are having hot dogs and other things including fireworks at the church celebrating our freedom for which we are so thankful.

Our special song was by the Gentry Singers. We were happy to have a guest speaker this morning. Bro. Brad Pellham and his message was from Genesis 32. We need boldness and sincerity in our lives and be a soul winner. We need to get back to God’s word. They are taking the teachings of Christ out of the schools and churches and they need to be put back in.

Sunday night services opened with singing and testimonies. Bro. Pellham’s evening message was from Hebrews 10:1-10. Paul says for it’s not possible that the bloold of bulls and goats or burn offering should take away sins. We are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all. He didn’t come to destroy the law, but came to fullfil it. Jesus’ blood covers us. We thank and appreciate Bro. Pellham coming and sharing the word with us.

May God bless you.
