Opening prayer and devotion was by Joie Welker to start our Father’s Day morning service.
After singing we went to classes and studied about Joshua chapter 2 and how God protects us and how God used a Gentile woman to protect His own people.
Specials for the morning were a Father’s Day reading given by Narvil Tetrick and Jackson Beard and a special song sung by Wanda Casady, Joie and Rod Welker, Wendell Deo, Faye Allen and Narvil Tetrick.
We had a dedication this morning for five precious little children. It was good to see these young parents wanting to deidcate their little children to the Lord. They were Blaze Marin, Gracie Howard, Jade Young, Rebecca Dee Young and Haylie Willamae Young. They received stuffed animals.
Gifts were awarded to some of the fathers, oldest father was George Welker, youngest father was Ryan Beard, first time being there was Bobby Howard, and the father who came the farthest was Johnnie Miller.
Happy birthday wishes went out to Lacy and Jackson Beard.
Pastor Hall’s Father’s Day message was given from Joshua 24:13-15.God expects the men to take the lead, choose this day whom you will serve. Joshua said as for me and my house we will serve the Lord. The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord and He delighteth in His way. Fear the Lord and serve in sincerity and truth.
Rick and Faye Allen and Rolla Swofford made a fast trip to Kansas City to attend the funeral of a brother-in-law, Gerald Linder on Saturday. It was a beautiful service and our sympathy goes out to this family.
A large gathering attended our Father’s Day fish fry Sunday evening. Good fellowship and fun was had by all. We appreciate all the men who fried the fish, potatoes and onions - Steve Miller, Casey Merrifield and Norval and Robin Tetrick.
May God bless.
