Psalms 143:8, “Cause me to hear they loving kindness in the morning: for in thee do I trust: cause me to know thy way wherin I should walk: for I lift up my soul unto thee.”
God is so good to us. I’m thankful this Tuesday morning for the rain last night and it is cooler this morning. This is quilting day and I’m looking forward to a good time both working and visiting.
I’ve been gone two weeks to visit my sister and family and we had a very nice time together. My brother-in-law, Roger Komlo, is from Florida and his 97 year old mother lives in a retirement home in Ocala, Florida. We all rented a house together and he brought her on to Orlando as they came though. She had the sharpest mind of anyone I know. We all went to Cocoa Beach and got a little too much sun one day. It is a beautiful beach ahd the Altantic Ocean seemed almost warm. We enjoyed a picnic at a park on the way. One day we took an airboat ride and I enjoyed that. They skim over the grasses and really build up speed. Our guide pointed out different birds and we saw one large alligator and several small ones. It was so hot in the sun that they mostly stayed underwater. It was aoubt 97 degrees, but every day we had good breezes and it would look stormy lots of the evenings with lightenings and loud thunder, but not much rain. The house we rented was on a lake with four bedrooms that all surrounded a beautiful pool that we all enjoyed. The lady that owned the house lives in England. She called a couple of times and it was hard for this Missouri gilr to understand her speech. We truly enjoyed her beautiful home and her thoughtfulness.
We had a very good service Sunday morning and evening with several visitors for both services. We had lots of special singing. I especially enjoyed Bro. and Sis. Dewitt and Roland Carson singing. Bro. Dewitt brought the morning and evening message. The evening scripture was from II Peter 3:8-11 and Revelation 1:10 and the morning was on the dry lbones from Ezekiel 37:1-6 and I Thess. 4:13-18, both services were very good with lunch served at noon. We then went to the Fourth Sunday Singing at Happy Home Church where we were all welcomed by their church family. We thorughly enjoyed the afternoon. The next Fourth Sunday Singing will at Faith Rock in July.
I appreciate Sis. Earnestine Martin for writing the last two items in the paper and the kind words about me. Also a happy 18th birthday to our sweet Miss Kendra Young last week and may God bless her as she leaves us in August to go away to college.
I want to tell Connie Burris I’m sorry I didn’t get the the pie made for their fourth at the nursing home as I had planned. I spent most of the day at Sanford International Airport in Florida as the plane was delayed three times and I didn’t get home until after six Friday night. I was glad to get off the plane as there was quite a bit of turbulance going and coming home. We were warned by the pilot which I was glad of that.
It was good to see my family and Albany spent time with me yesterday and we played some games and shopped some. She has her ball game tonight and I hope to go. I love to watch the kids play. We always enjoyed grandson, Andrew, when he played ball and we probably didn’t miss any of his games. Granddaughter, Addison, is just as sweet as always and always glad to see her grandma.
I’m leaving the house to pick up some things Kathellen Sparks gave us for quilters to use. We appreciate her good heart. I think I mentioned it, but we made $450 at our garage sale for Joplin, which was but a drop in the bucket for their needs, but it all adds up. Many people have given and I know God will use it as He did the loaves and fish.
We appreciate Sis. Ruth who gave us new sheets for quilting. We will miss Sis. Eveline Miller today. Her daugher from Arizona will be with her today. She works on a ranch where the fire has been so bad and I know her parents will be happy to see them and we are all thankful they were safe.
