On June 18, a picnic in memory of Burrell and ZelIa Mae Coonts was held at Noblett Lake.
There were a lot of old stories and pictures shared by all, with horseshoes, volleyball games and some of the younger ones playing on the jungle gym. All enjoyed the music by Erin Akers, David Richardson and Jerry Wagner. A delicious meal of pulled pork and ham cooked by Tom Hicks was enjoyed, with everyone bringing side dishes.
Burrell and Zella Mae had a lot of friends, and they never knew a stranger. You have probably had a cup of coffee or have eaten some of Zell’s biscuits. They would have been proud of the little picnic.
