Caney moved Wednesday evening services last week to the youth camp where it was a blessing to see all the young people singing and working for the Lord.
Father’s Day Sunday school opened with singing. Bro. Jack Essary welcomed everyone. He took praise reports and prayer requests. Bro. Jeff Shipley led in prayer. Jack read James 2:18-25 for our devotion. After a good Sunday school lesson Happy Birthday was sung to Elsie Combs and Jeff Shipley. God bless them with many more. We were blessed to have Randy and Connie Haes and their little boys. Melba led them in song. They were very cute.
Praise and Worship began with singing. Those singing specials were Melissa Harmon, Tabitha, Kinyon, Hannah, Morgan and Laurena Mitchell. Melba Austin did a reading for Father’s Day. Pastor Bill Austin brought the morning message from II Chronicles 29:6-11, I Peter 5:6-10 and II Corinthians 4:16-18. Can we make a promise today to serve God? May He bless us. The devil will destroy us if we don’t trust and serve Christ. It’s a daily walk. Heaven is real and we can be there if we trust and believe. Connie Haes gave a testimony. All the fathers were honored with a small token of appreciation. Thank god for all the godly fathers.
Sunday evening service began with singing. Bro. Bill Austin welcomed everyone. Bro. Jim Lafferty led in prayer. Those singing tonight were Charlotte Roberts and Jim Lafferty. Testimonies were given by Lila Roberts, Janice Lafferty and Jim Lafferty.
Bro. Jack Essary was our speaker Sunday evening. He brought his message from Mal. 3:1, who among us has not been blessed. If we don’t turn back to God our children will miss out on the blessings of God. God will judge us. He knows the righteous and the wicked. It was wonderful words of Life. This has been a good Father’s day in the house of the Lord.
Come worship with us. You are always welcome.
