This Monday was a beautiful morning. It was windy and cool if you are under the shade trees as I spend a lot of my time in the patio swing where the chimes are chiming this morning.
It was a good day to be in church for Father’s Day Sunday. Pastor Don and Becky took the day off. He did not feel he could preach the Father’s Day message so soon after the death of his only son. He asked his brother Pastor Bob Baier of Antioch Baptist in Kansas City to preach the morning services on “Dad” from I Thess. 2:7-12. The best teacher a child could have are their dads.
It was good to have Oscar and Gladys back in their pew Sunday morning after there trip to Cincinnati, Iowa. They were in revival all last week.
This Saturday, June 25 will be the 36th Annual Proctor Family Reunion at Sandy,Oregon. There is only four of the twelve children of Howard and Lola Proctor left. They are Nadine, Geneva, Virginia and Alice. Both Alice and I will not be there this time.
When you do what you can, God will do what you can’t.
