Opening Sunday school Roy Hampton read Matthew 41-45 and said the prayer. We had several people for Sunday school. Lee Hampton taught our lesson from Luke 12 on the parable of the rich fool for where your treasure is there will be year heart also.We took up the offering. Lee Hampton led the offering prayer. Roy Hampton took it up. I led the congregational songs, but my allergies are pretty bad, they couldn’t hear me very good. We sang four songs. Sue Thomas was there and played for us. Elwood Williams and his lady friend, I forgot her name, was our guests. We really enjoyed having them. Elwood and Susie Sisco sang a duet. Susie and Elwood also sang a few solos. Joe Lafferty preached the 11 o’clock service from the 6th chapter of Ephesians. Put on the whole armor of God, girded about with truth. Travis Hampton and Sarah Cook was our guests with Angel and David Haden. Roy Hampton dismissed in prayer.
Evening service started with singing. Jesse Lafferty, Sue Sisco and Ashley Lafferty all sang. Joe Lafferty began preaching on the 21st chapter of St. John, verse 6, cast the net on the right side of the ship and ye shall find. Roy Hampton read the Little Red Hen story to compare with some Christians that do the work and some that don’t, but they all want to eat. Everyone wants to eat, but no one wants to work. We all need to be better workers and prayer warriors. Lee Hampton was the speaker that closed the service. We had several testimonies, which is always good from God’s people. Sue Thomas dismissed us in prayer.
Tag the preacher service will be at Dogwood Nazarene Saturday, July 2, 2011.
Until next time, God bless.
