“Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it, ” Proverbs 22:6.
Brother Roy Frye opened Sunday school on Father’s Day following singing led by Pastor David. He read James 2:18-25 for our devotion. Pastor David prayed and we were dismissed to class.
Please pray for Sister Betty and her family, camps, Louise, Pat Brazeal, Wanda Goss, Veda Bushong, unsaved, unspoken, military, country and leaders and church. I’m sorry if I forgot anyone, but I’m so thankful God knows everything.
We honored our fathers with a gift of a key chain with Black Oak Church on it. Bro. Pete Workman had the special envelope and received the rechargable spotlight. We appreciate all the men of our church. We enjoyed a fish fry Sunday evening. We appreciate Kenny Brad and Keith for cooking. We had a good crowd and lots of good food and fellowship.
Brother Bobby took up the offering and Hunter did the penny march for Camp Piland.
Hunter sang a special. Pastor David sang then preached from John 12:44-50. The importance of accepting Christ and the sad truth to those who reject Him. Especially parents who do not bring their children to Christ. If you do not accept Him and teach them about Him you will be held accountable. The world would be such a great place to live if everyone would live for God. How sad Jesus must feel when children want to attend church and the parents won’t bring them. Please think abuot these things and come to know Christ. You will be so glad you did.
We are finishing Revelations in Bible study on Wednesday at 6:00. Join us if you can.
We hope everyone had a great Father’s Day and I am so thankful for my Heavenly Father.
May God bless you always.
