“Be strong and of good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed; for the Lord they God is with thee withersoever thou goest,” Joshua 1:9.
Brother Roy Frye opened Sunday school by reading Deuteronomy 5:22-33 for our devotion after we had our congregational singing. Pastor David prayed then we were dismissed to class.
We had several gone and some back. We are thankful for each one.
Our June birthdays are Brett Turley, Wanda Goss and Angie Turley. We hope you have a very happy birthday.
Please pray for Mike Dodson, Jaden Riley, Pat Brazeal and family, Louise, Betty, Virginia, Rick, Mike Jones, Quin Breeding, unspoken, unsaved, Hannah Givans family and others who have lost their loved ones. Jeannie we think of you often. Also pray for the camps coming up at Camp Piland and Linda Liniger’s mom. May God’s healing touch – touch you all.
Brother Bobby Turley took up the offering and cute little Hope did the penny march.
Hope sang a special for us. Pastor David sang then preached from Psalm 62:1-8. God is our rock and salvattion, our refuge, strength and defense. Nothing or no one that comes against us stands against God for long. He will come to help us if we are truly His. Verse 8 says trust Him at all times, pour out your heart before Him: God is a refuge for us.
Our Sunday evening service began with singing. We were glad to have Sister June Mitchell visit us. She shared a beautiful song that God had given her.
Pastor David sang then preached from Genesis 6:8-13. Noah walked with God just as his great-great grandfather, Enoch, did. Noah did not follow the crowd into sin and corruption. He followed what he had been taught and also taught his sons. We must set a good example for our families and others to follow. If we read and know God’s word we will know how we are supposed to live. Our life is our testimony. We are the living example of Christ living in us. It was very good messages from God.
Please join us if you are looking for a church. We will be having our Father’s Day Fish Fry the 19th at 5:00.
May God bless you all always.
