This past Sunday we had a great worship hour with Pastor Oren reading from Rev. 21:1-14. He asked a very important question of us. Do you believe in Heaven? In Revelation, John had a very brief glimpse of what Heaven will be like. There will be no sorrow, pain or crying there and we will see the face of our Lord Jesus whom we will share eternity with. I don’t think anyone would want to miss out on that, so we must be prepared by giving our hearts to Jesus now. If you wait, it may be too late when Jesus returns in the blink of an eye.
Our White River camp this week is for the Junior High kid’s grade 7th and 8th. Next week will be the middle school grades so keep that in mind. We will need desserts again by Wednesday night so the volunteers can take them down on Thursday morning when they go.
Next week is Fathers Day and all the men who come to worship services will receive a gift from the church. We appreciate all our fathers out there.
Remember to pray for those mentioned on Sunday who has asked us to pray for them. Pray for our nation and our men and women in our military. We were happy to learn that Jr. Heriford has been moved to a regular room now but we pray for his continued recovery. Pray also for Jack Cottengim as he will be facing surgery soon. Lift all those requests you heard up to God because we know He hears and answers our prayers. Don’t forget to praise Him and give thanks to Him when He does answer our prayers. Show Him your love in return.
We hope you will visit us Sunday for worship. Our Sunday school classes are awesome too. We have classes for all ages and we have wonderful teachers who want to share the gospel lessons with everyone. Adult Bible study is on Wednesday nights at 7 p.m. and that is open to everyone. Our Youth Student Ministries meet at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesdays at the youth building southwest of the church.
We know that Jesus Christ is the way to Heaven and as we read His Word we learn the instructions that we all need to follow each day. Knowing Him and accepting Him in your heart makes you a child of God and you have the hope of eternal life with Him in Heaven.
