Bonnie Phipps and I had quite a chat Sunday night and she was doing okay, but hadn’t gone out much last week.
Last Monday night we had a good turn out for our O.E.S. Friendship Night Meeting, there was 15 members and 15 visitors from other chapters.
It hailed last Tuesday morning early and I got four and a half tenths of an inch of rain in my gage. Friday I got one-tenths of an inch of rain in my gage and then I got some sprinkles, but those just dried up as fast as they hit my porch.
Mary Martha Williams, Marie Dickey, Doris Morrison, Carol Moore and Hellen Blakey all went last Tuesday night to Norwood to their O.E.S. Friendship Meeting and had a good time. We got to hear David Richardson sing some old songs after the meeting. I have been over at Mary Lou Garfit’s several times last week helping her.
I went to Ozark Thursday and while up there I went by and saw Donna and Landon Fleetwood, Liz Bailey and her birthday was the next day and she was 87. Liz was just like she was the last time I saw here. They are feeding her, but she eats well, but she doesn’t talk much then I went and saw Winnie Stafford and she looked good and we talked for a while then I went on over to theĀ Stained Glass Theatre where I parked and went next door to the Antique Shop and looked around until Monica got off from work and then Vernal and Ellen Blakey came down and we all went to the Rib Crib and ate supper and it was good. Vernal and Ellen went home and Monica and I went to the theatre and met my niece, Brenda Henslee, and some of Monica’s church friends.
The play we saw was Song of the Prairie and it was good. It was a musical one and it runs until July 9.
Saturday I did some baking for Sunday night at church where we had refreshments after Max Stephens preached for us. There was 20 there.
Keep those prayers going for all our sick folks and my prayers goes out to all my church families.
Sympathy and prayers for all that have lost a loved one.
Lets keep our leaders and the men and women in the service and their families and the ones who are in training in our prayers.
