Bonnie Phipps said she had went to church Sunday and was doing okay.

Last Monday was our O.E.S. meeting, but I didn’t get to go because I went over to Ronnie and Mary Lou Garfit’s and talked with her and I told her I would go with her. Evelyn Bryan came and drove me up there. I took Mary Lou’s sister, Mona, up Wednesday because we thought she would be operated on, but they ran some more tests on her that day.

Our O.E.S. and Mason Charity Fundraising Supper Thursday evening was good, but not as good as we though it would be. We appreciate all that came out and bought supper from us. It was a hot evening, but it cooled off a little and you could have eatan in our basement too.

Ellis came by Friday evening and got some of my potato salad and prune cake I had left over from Thursday night.

I had to go into town Saturday and get me some medicine. I guess I had too much air condition blowing on me going to Springfield.

Sunday morning I missed church because I took Mary Lou’s two sisters, Mona and Kathy, up to the hospital because Mary Lou was being operated on at seven that morning.

Mary Lou came through the operation just fine. She is in St. John’s Hospital if you want to send her a card, though she might be home before you read this news.

Lets keep our sick folks in our prayers. Tom Elliott and Kenneth Garfit will have surgery on the 17th so keep them and all the others in your prayers.

My prayers and sympathy go out to all the ones who have lost a loved one.

Lets keep our leaders and men and women in the service and their families and the ones in training in our prayers.
