Ernest Lloyd Brazeal, 81, Adrian, Mo., died Friday, June 10, 2011 at his daughter’s home in Peculiar, Mo.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, June 14, 2011 at the Atkinson Chapel in Harrisonville, Mo., officiated by Roger Freed, chaplain, Vitas Hospice, Kansas City, Mo.
Casketbearers were Paul Hutchison, Adam Hutchison, Joe Hutchison, Christopher Shannon, Robert Jordan, Scott Maxwell, Clint Laughlin, Steven Hendrix and Kody Kisner. Burial was in Orient Cemetery, Harrisonville.
Ernest was born Dec. 19, 1929 in Squires, Mo., the son of William Orley and Laura Olivia “Olive” (Bellinger) Brazeal. He married Virginia Ailleen Wise on Sept. 7, 1949. He had lived in Squires and Kansas City, Kan., before moving to Adrian in 1990. Ernest worked for the B.O.P. automobile plant in Fairfax, Kan. for 30 years before retiring in 1982. He was a volunteer for the Squires Fire Department.
Ernest was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife, Virginia, of the home; two sons, Kenneth Brazeal, Pleasant Hill, Mo., and Steve Brazeal, Garden City, Mo.; four daughters, Susanne Brazeal, Lee’s Summit, Mo., Joyce Hutchison, Kansas City, Kan., Brenda Crim, Edgerton, Kan. and Juanita Koehn, Peculiar, Mo.; two brothers, Lz Brazeal, Jasper, Ark., and Joe Brazeal, Tuscon, Ariz.; one sister, Juanita Johnston, Seymour, Mo.; 17 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren.
