In the southern Missouri Ozarks 150 years ago this month, the effects of the American Civil War were beginning to be felt. Both sides of the conflict had started recruiting men.
To learn more about the war and how it emerged in our area, please join us on Saturday, June 18 for the monthly meeting of the South Central Missouri – North Central Arkansas Civil War Roundtable.
The meeting is held at the West Plains Public Library, starting at 2:00 p.m., and ending at 4 p.m. Meetings are informal, please feel free to come and go to fit your schedule.
There is no charge to attend or participate, and anyone with an interest in any aspect of the Civil War is encouraged to attend.
