Most people are talking about the hot weather and how noisy the cicadas are. People are getting their hay cut and baled while it’s dry.
Camp Piland starts Monday, June 13th for the Junior and Seniors, grades 7-12th. The next week on June 20th it starts for grades 3-6th.
Uncle Earl Johnston was in last week visiting. I wasn’t home so I missed him because I was doing volunteer work.
Sunday, May 29th, Dara Strong and family took her parents, Howard and Ella Faye Mitchell to the Bethel Cemetery between Brown Branch and McClurg to decorate graves. Danny Hill had the morning service and Hi Lambeth conducted the cemetery meeting. After the morning service and cemetery meeting, dinner was shared. Those having dinner together were: Barbara Ellison, Danny, Connie, Joshua an Skyler Hill, Howard and Ella Faye Mitchell, Dara, Ernest and Cody Strong, Gary and Connie Mitchell, Norman and Sharon Rush, Mike, Diana and Travis Comstock and girlfriend, Charlee Garnder, Kenny and Jeanie Pierce, Linda Combs, Randall and Becky Cummings, Dan, Vicky and Jarrin Yeary, the Yeary grandchildren and Lena Pierce. They all enjoyed a good dinner and visiting with each other. Hi Lambeth and Doris Lambeth had other places to go to.
Monday Ella Faye Mitchell visited Bruis and Norma Doss.
