We are having beautiful weather. I hope everyone is able to get out and enjoy it.
Norma Cross and Seth Hunt and Juanita Herrell visited with Dick and I Thursday. We stopped to see Helen Dobbins Friday.
We sure have had calls from kin folks in Wisconsin and Washington asking if we had any relatives living in Joplin. They have been watching the news about the tornado that hit Joplin. As far as we know, we don’t.
We appreciate Ray and Fran Cunningham for all the hard work and supervising they have done with the old Walnut Grove Church. They are still working on the inside. If any one is interested in history you should go down and take a look. The cemetery is also beautiful. We do appreciate all they have done.
Kelly and DeAnn Thompson, Kinsey, Kailey and Kyle will be home Tuesday evening the 7th after spending ten days on vacation. Seven of the days were on a cruise. I’m sure we’ll be hearing a lot about it when they get home.
We stopped by Harold and Kay Hutchison’s Monday to drop off a donation for the Mt. Tabor Cemetery. Dick went out to see Lena Pierce to give her a donation for the Bethel Cemetery, where his grand and great grandparents are buried.
We got word this morning (the 6th) that Jeanettet George was taken to the hospital last night with a heart attack. They got her there in time to save her life. She had a stint put in. I talked to her a while ago. She said she was much better. Our prayers are for her to have a complete recovery.
We can say it is warm enough for the gardens to grow. It is a little too warm, but nothing we can do about it.
Charlie Hampton and his cousin came by and brought me a mess of fish. They caught them in Beaver Creek. They were so good.
Tony and two other guys are gone to Colorado. They will be back Friday.
Cody Richards will have Braxton this weekend. I always took forward to seeing him.
