A good morning to all our readers. We hope every one had a safe and cool weekend as the weather was very hot during the day. Remember to check on the shut ins during hot weather. Always drink plenty of water while it is so hot. Our bodies need more water in the heat than when it is cooler.
Just to let you know the update on the tulip bed, it sure looks awful, but now my eyes are on the raspberry vine. The birds and I are racing to see who is first to get the ripe berries.
The only news turned in was a note about a support group for healthy living , which is now being formed for our residents. The first meeting will be June 9, 2011 at 10 a.m. in the activity room to form our meeting, agenda and rules.
On Saturday afternoon Norma went to the home of Jerry Lee, Kim and Derek Watkins for a fish fry. Several friends and neighbors joined the hosts for a good time of fellowship and several enjoyed the swimming pool. “Hey” Jan the cabbage rolls were, ”oh so good.”
Sunday afternoon several residents enjoyed the rock church meeting in the activity room. We had a sing-a-long with the reading of God’s word. Peggy Greene was the song leader for the group. She also played the guitar. After the meeting she visited with Norma for a while. Other visitors of Norma were Arlen Watkins and a friend.
