Project Graduation 2012 Planning Is Under Way

Project Graduation 2012 has had two organizational meetings so far to get fundraising started.

The City of Ava has allowed the committee to run the concession stand at the little league baseball/softball fields this summer. Game nights and the class list have been divided up among parents who are in charge of scheduling.

They will be trying to call every senior to give them the opportunity to work and earn points. If you are not receiving “school reach” calls about meetings that means the Project Graduation Committee does not have a working phone number for you. You need to contact BJ Sterling at the school with a correct phone number.

If parents or seniors have a Facebook account you can search for Ava High School Class of 2012; if you go to their page and “Like it” you will receive all posts from project graduation and from Julie Taylor, the senior class sponsor.

Items from you or your family/friends can be dropped off June 10 from 2–7 p.m. at the Performing Arts Center for the next big fundraiser. Senior students and/or parents are encouraged to come to the PAC June 10 at 5 p.m. to help organize items. Farrah Dalton is the event leader for this fundraiser.

A letter explaining more about project graduation details will be mailed out with students’ report cards. You will receive a reminder call prior to meetings to your school record home telephone number. Please attend and bring fundraising ideas. With everyone working together it will be a great night for the seniors.
