Mt. Tabor Church

We had several folks out Sunday morning, however, we continue to pray for our friends and neighbors who are facing surgery and still struggling with illnesses. We are thankful for the faithful who are here every Sunday, please join us if you do not have a regular church home.

Brother Dennis read John 3:16, his favorite verse, the thought being, our salvation is not based on past sins.

There will be a work day at Camp Piland Friday, in order to prepare the camp for the first group coming soon. Your help will be greatly appreciated.

Golda Dixon, Springfield, visited her sister, Mae Cox, Tuesday. She also visited her Aunt Esther Davis and another sister, Lue Coy. Sunday visitors with Mae were Lisa Johnson and Jesse, Tom and Donna Nichols.

Ronda Soto drove her mother, Mary Ann Hathcock, to her doctor appointment in Springfield Monday. Mary Ann will be wearing a heart monitor for a month, searching for relief from a health problem. Other visitors with the Hathcocks were Pat and Wes Smith, Zane and Zoie and Jim Hathcock,

Tom Elliott continues to have medical tests done in preparation for surgery in the not too distant future, our best to him.  Visitors with Tom and Jewell Saturday were Ashley Elliott, LeAnna Elliott, MaKayla and Logan, Jim and Carla Hearod, Tuesday visitors were Don and Evelyn Bryan, MaKayla and Logan Elliott.

Ronnie and Pat Lansdown had a large gathering at their home over the Memorial Holiday for visiting, picture taking and enjoying lots of food. Those present were: Jill and Patrick O’Neal, Ada, Ok.,Doug and Kristie Lansdown and children, West Plains, David and Casey Guerin and daughter, Rogersville, Sue Lansdown, Kim Lansdown, Rick Lansdown and friend, Becky, and her two sons,  Jerry Lansdown, Tim Lansdown and two children, Sonja Mitchell and daughter, Shelby and Amy Kilgore, Kenneth and Carla Aborn, Ryan and Beth Aborn and two children, Ryan and Heather Wagner, all of Lamar, Bill and Kathy Lansdown, Kyle Lansdown and son, and Tammy, all of lAva. Joy Davis  and children stopped by to visit with the O’Neals and other family, also.

Paul Cox came down and mowed the yard for Myrl Cox and Pat Lansdown did grocery shopping for her mom, also.

Shirley Hutchison and Amy, West Plains, visited Harold and Kay Hutchison, Friday. Amy stayed until Wednesday with her grandparents. Morgan Clements spent time with the group, also.

Pauline Richards visited Harold and Kay Hutchison, Monday.

Harold and Kay Hutchison visited Maxine Lund, Monday evening.
