This warm weather is getting to us. It is just what we asked for a week ago. I do have shade trees and that is good. Right now I am thinking of the big, old tree in the yard where I grew up, mom and dad had their bed there and our table to eat on. We kids slept on quilts on the grass. We have come a long way since then. Thank God.
Sunday a warm welcome was extended to each of our guests and members. It is a joy to be in services at Seminole. God is a blessing to all. Pastor Don’s message was from Ephesians 1:1-2, “The Church of Jesus Christ Is People.” Does Jesus care about Seminole? I know thy works and thy labor.
The Forerunners lunch will be Thursday at noon. The guest speaker will be Julie Burnell with Oxford Healthcare. The theme is “Stay at Home Safely.”
PFC Clifton Andrews and Dave came to visit me Tuesday afternoon. He showed me a text of him as Calvary Soldier Army with a lance or lanciere with a small airplane to lead the target to the location and that is my grandson. In another month he will be shipped out for the real thing. All of our service men and woman need our support with prayer daily.
Rev. Oscar and Gladys Cunningham are in revival this week in Cincinnati, Iowa. When they are not at Seminole, I know they are on the road again.
I wish to send sympathy to the family of Harley Hancock. He was a special guy.
With God’s word as your map and His Spirit as your compass, you’re sure to stay on course.
