A softball clinic will be held at the Ava High School softball field on Thursday, June 9 for all girls interested in playing organized softball.
The clinic, conducted by college-level softball players, is open to all girls in grades 4-12 and will run from 9 a.m. to 12 noon. Registration begins at 8:30 on June 9.
Ava High School athletic director and softball coach Rex Sawyer says the Fundamentals & Pitching Instructional Clinic is open to girls from surrounding communities as well as the Ava area.
A registration fee will be charged.
Instructors will be Jamine Landreth, University of Central Missouri; Jessie Sawyer, William Jewell University; and Christy Stockdale, Southwest Baptist University recently employed as Ava Middle School coach.
