Oak Grove Church

The Lord blessed us with a beautiful Lord’s Day and the decorations that came out to honor those who have gone before, festooned our cemetery and turned a solemn scene into a beautiful memorial for our loved ones. We appreciate all who came and decorated at Oak Grove Cemetery. The members of the cemetery board made it a point to have someone present to meet and greet all who came and it was our intent to thank you all personally. There were times when so many came at one time that we may have missed some folks. If so, please accept this as our heartfelt appreciation to all who took part in this memorial celebration.

Our morning message was entitled “A Look At The Past,” from our text in Isaiah 51:1, “Look unto the rock whence ye are hewn, and the hole of the pit whence ye are digged.” It is important that we remember the great blessings our gracious Heavenly Father has bestowed upon us, and at times we should remember “where we came from” as well as consider, where we are bound.

There were still some empty seats, one of them could have been yours. If you will come and be our guest, if there aren’t enough seats, I’ll let you have mine. If there is something else I can do to encourage you to join us in worship, come on down, all you have to do is ask (disclaimer – within reason.) Come on, give us a try, after all, what do you have to lose? And what might you gain?
