New Hope Freewill Baptist Church

Women’s Tuesday morning prayer group started out our week and New Hope Wednesday night Bible study is studying out of the book of Genesis. There is no better place to start than in the beginning. This week we studied over the generations of Adam and the wickedness of man.

We are always sad to see revival end at our church, but revival lives through us and starts with us. We should ask God to put revival in our hearts daily. During Sunday morning serviceĀ  we had 17 in attendance. We had prayer requests lifted to the Lord and dismissed to our Sunday school classes. The adults are studying the gospel of Luke and the children studied about Jesus raising. Jairus’ daughter and the woman with the issue of blood. After the children’s penny march we sang hymns. Bro. Scott delivered the morning message from Joshua 6:20-27. Bro. Scott touched on the foreshadowing in Joshua with the walls of Jericho and with the second coming of Jesus Chrsit. It was a wonderful message from God.

During our evening service we had 23 attend. We took our prayer requests before the Lord and Bro. Mike did a special reading from I Peter 4:8. Bro. Scott brought forth the message from II Peter 1:16-21 and Revelation 22:7-21. Sometimes we hear people say things abut the Bible, such as “Paul said that” or “I only pay attention to what’s in red because Jesus said it.” I’m here to set you straight: every word in the Bible is for us. It doesn’t mater if it was from John, Paul, Peter, Moses, Jeremiah, or Isaiah. It was and is still coming from Holy men who wrote by the Spirit, Ghost and inspiration of God. It wasn’t just fables and stories people came up with for entertainment. Wake up people we are here to serve the one true living God! It is the same God that was, is, and will always be. People waiver and change, God does not! The time for an awakening is now! We may not have tomorrow, or five minutes from now. I pray your souls are right and you live and breathe with heart, mind and soul the living word of God. Praise God that He sent His Son to die and pay the cost and be the propitation of sin for me and for the world. There is comfort in knowing I am bound for that city of light and that I have a heaven to gain and a hell to shun. I pray you have that same comfort and if not you take the advocacy we have through JesusĀ  to get things right with the Father.

We want to invite all who would to come join us for “Tag Team Preaching” on Saturday, June 4 at 7 p.m. Come with a message or come for a blessing. If you would like more information call 543-3617 or 543-3437.
