Everyone enjoyed a good service Sunday morning, especially to honor and celebrate the lives of our veterans, those who have served and those serving. The flags were an indication of the many we have in our cemetery from all wars and we appreciate the protection they have afforded those of us who have lived to enjoy it. God bless each of them.

Those visiting with Myrl Cox over the holiday were Patrick and Jill O’Neal, Ada, Ok., Doug and Kristie Lansdown and family, West Plains, Samone Deaver and son, Dane, and David Jenneson, Topeka, KS., Paul Cox and friend, Rosemary, Pat and Ronnie Lansdown, Jeanne Cox, Velma Smith, Caleb Swisher, and Berniece Miller. Myrl appreciated Paul and Caleb mowing her yard.
Mae Cox visited with her brother, Cletis and Lavon Prueitt, Springfield, at the cemetery Sunday afternoon. Other company for Mae has been Lisa Johnson and Jesse, Bonita Winingham and Jewell Elliott.
Glad to hear Lenore Burton is back home after a few days stay in the hospital.
Tammy and Ashley Elliott were hosts for a surprise birthday party in their home last Wednesday evening in honor of James Elliott and his dad, Tom Elliott. There were several family members and friends attending, enjoying barbeque, cake and ice cream.
Bonita Winingham arrived from her home in Louisville, NE. Sunday evening to spend the week with her parents, Tom and Jewell Elliott. Bonita accompanied them to St. Louis Wednesday for Tom’s doctor appointment.
Visitors in the Elliott home recently have been Dorman and Georgia Edwards, Mtn. Grove, Martin Hathcock, Leslie Stillings, Jeff Elliott on Saturday, James Elliott, Sunday. Monday visitors were Jeff and James, Jim and Carla Hearod, Shaun and LeAnna Elliott, Logan and MaKayla. Jewell and Bessie Hall visited Shaun and family Sunday afternoon.
Visitors in Bessie Hall’s home recently were Jewell Elliott, J.C. Hall and Vicky Burnett, Lisa Johnson and Jesse. Jewell and Bessie were decorating at Henderson and Pleasant Mound cemeteries, Monday. Bessie was also a dinner guest with grandson and wife, James and Tammy Elliott and Ashley, Thursday evening.
Trellis and Wanda Hathcock, Marshfield, visited Martin and Mary Ann Hathcock, Monday, after decorating at Mt. Tabor. Several more of Martin’s family was there on Sunday, also.
Lucille DeBerry visited her brother, Harold Hutchison, Sunday morning. She also attended church with Kay later in the morning, along with her daughter Marion and her daughter, Shelly and John, and Shelley’s four children. They all visited later with Harold, as did Lucille’s daughter, Paula and David Brigance, Mt. Vernon. All of the visitors had been attending the Jenkins-Applegate reunion at Goodhope.
Freeda Richards visited Harold and Kay Hutchison last Saturday.
