Kiwanis To Host Literacy Program

At their weekly meeting on June 9, Kiwanis Club of Ava will be pleased to host a program focused on Early Childhood Literacy.  On that day, Tim Scrivener will be meeting with the group to discuss the “Dolly Parton Imagination Library.”  This program focuses on helping children from birth to 5 years old learn to read, giving them a “jump start” in life.

All interested parties, including other clubs, organizations and the general public, are invited and encouraged to come and listen to the information of this program.

Lunch from the menu will be provided for the speaker by Kiwanis.  Other interested persons who attend may eat at their own expense. The meeting will be held on June 9 at noon at Highway House Cafe.
