May 30 – Sunday school opened with singing. Bro. Jack Essary welcomed everyone to service. Prayer requests and praise reports were given. Sis. Charlotte Roberts led us in prayer. Jack read Ephesians 3:14-21 for our devotion.
After a wonderful Sunday school lesson the Shipley girls sang. They are such a blessing. Testimonies were given by Jeff Shipley, Vanessa Mills and Jim Lafferty.
Praise and Worship began with singing. Those singing specials were Laurena Mitchell, Charlotte Roberts, Margret Herd and Melissa Harmon. Pastor Bill Austin brought the morning message from I Samuel 14:21-23 and Hebrews 4:14-16. We can go boldly to the Lord. The Lord will help whether we are few or many. The Lord wants to save and help the discouraged and desitute. Keep your eyes on Christ. He will lead you. These are wonderful words of life. Bro. Bob Husky will be with us next Sunday, June 5. Come be with us.
Sunday evening service began with singing. Bro. Jeff welcomed everyone. We have many concerns to take to the Lord. Bro. Jim Lafferty led in prayer. Remember Joplin, the lost, military, nation, bereaved and the sick. Janice Lafferty gave a testimony. Bro. Bill brought the evening message from Ezekiel 18:25-31. God’s way are just repent and turn from your sinful ways. Let God make you a new heart and a new spirit. God has no pleasure in our spiritual death.
