Well we finally got everybody to church at the same time, and we had a good attendance. Roy Hampton opened Sunday school by reading the 13th chapter of Matthew, verse 40. He then prayed after the reading. Bro. Lee Hampton taught the adult class out of the 8th chapter of Luke. We always discuss the lesson and get everybody involved. We learn a lot. We asked questions for next Sunday. We sang happy birthday to Clara Lafferty and she led the offering prayer. Jessica Lafferty and Wilma Hampton testified how good the Lord has been to them. Elwood Williams (Wilma’s brother) was at church Sunday.We sure was glad to have him and his friend. Congregation sang along with specials from Susie Sisco, Jesse and Ashley Lafferty and Elwood Williams.
At the 11 o’clock hour Joe Lafferty preached Matthew 13 and led in prayer. Inviation was given. Roy Hampton dismissed in prayer. We had no Sunday night service. We had memorial services at 2:00 o’ clock at Stillings graveyard.
