While reading the Brown’s Cave article, I remembered my mother saying they had church meetings there in the 20′s and 30′s. When I was in high school in the 60′s, my classmates on Sunday afternoons would go in the cave. I remember once in the month of February they went in the cave and had to crawl in the mud a long way. When they got out of the cave they all jumped in Bryant’s Creek to wash all the mud off their clothes and theirselves.
The past few days we have been invaded by the little red eyed insects by the hundreds or maybe thousands. Now we will be able to hear their music for the next few weeks.
We made it through another week of storms. Most of us have been praying for the rain and storms to stop.
