Sunday morning started with an Appreciation Breakfast in honor of Bill and DeDe Arrington. They have been a real blessing to Walnut Grove Church, but are having to leave due to job responsibilities in Ozark and Springfield. They promised they would come back occasionally when possible. They will be missed as they have been in charge of the music department. Job well done Bill and DeDe. We love you.
Brother Roberts brought the message from Ephesians 5:18-21, “Walking in the Spirit.” The 4th in a series of “Abundant Life.”
Sunday evening was our 4th Sunday Singing. We enjoyed several congregational hymns and specials, especially the ones by Gage and Elizabeth.
Nora Edwards visited on Tuesday with Jacinda Sheppard, Alexis Swearengin, Maxine Lund and Jewell Johnson.
Naida Haden visited with Suanne Sutherland on Monday morning.
Spending Saturday night with Bob and Nora Edwards was her nephew, Randy Cazzell and wife, Debbie, of Excelsior Springs, MO. Visiting them for awhile on Saturday evening were Toby and Jacinda Sheppard, Kendra Walker and Paige Mackey.
Bevy Moore and I made a trip to Springfield on Thursday for me to have a doctor’s visit. Becky Carter met us there and after my appointment, we ate lunch at Panera Bread.
On Friday I visited with Stacie, Mahayla and Miley Hamby.
On Saturday, Delmar and I went to Mansfield, MO. and visited with Keith and Donna Bannister and Summer and Caidence Johnson. Caidence is sure growing and so beautiful too.
Well, I had a very pleasant surprise today. My daughter, Bevy Moore, found my cousin, Beverly Lester, in California. She is the one I named Bevy after. I had not heard from her for several years. She has had a stroke and is in a nursing home, but I called her and got to wish her Happy Birthday today. It was a very emotional time for me as I have missed her for so long. Beverly’s mother and my dad were brother and sister.
Gary and Bevy Moore visited us and shared supper with us.
Just remember to keep the umbrella handy. Seems the weather has been really unpredictable this Spring.
