Sunday morning service was opened with prayer requests, prayer and praise music.
Brother Roberts brought the sermon from Galations 5:16-17, “Walking In the Spirit.”
The evening service was opened with congregational songs then prayer requests for Cheryl Hopper, Delmar Rosseau, Donna Scribner and lost souls in our community. Brother Roberts brought the message from Matthew 18:11, “Living the Abundant Life.”
Joe and Wilma Hamby made a trip to Yukon, Oklahoma on Thursday then Mike and Stacie Hamby, David, Lexi, Mahayla and Miley drove there on Friday. They enjoyed attending the graduation of Caleb and Colby Bryan then on Saturday they attended the graduation party for Caleb and Colby –party for Hunter Scheihing’s 4th birthday. The family visited with Jeremy and Darla (Hamby) Scheihing then returned back home on Sunday.
Mary and Kirby Mackey visited on Saturday with Bob and Nora Edwards.
Bob Edwards visited with Delmar and Margaret Rosseau on Friday morning where he enjoyed the coffee they provided. The Edwards and several others were out of power so he couldn’t make coffee. We are thankful for good neighbors.
Several family and friends gathered at Walnut Grove church on Friday evening for a surprise birthday party for Jacinda Sheppard. Since it was her 40th , the room was decorated with lots of black balloons and over-the-hill decorations. They gifts she opened were”age appropiate”. Cake and punch were served and the evening was spent visiting and taking pictures.
Delmar and Margaret Rosseau and Vern Deatherage plus a couple of his friends spent last week helping our mom, Nora Hunsaker move to Mansfield.
On Thursday, Bevy Moore and I made a visit to our doctors in Springfield where Becky Carter met us and we then met Deanna Parsick at Chili’s for lunch, we then went shopping.
On Saturday morning, Bevy Moore, Donna Bannister, Becky Carter and I made a trip to Windsor, Mo. for a birthday party in honor of Uncle Hugh and Aunt Violet Morris’s 90th and 92nd birthdays. There were 16 family members there and the staff had set up a separate room for the celebration.
On our way home, we stopped in Fair Grove and played with Caidence Johnson and visited with her mamma and daddy too, Shawn and Summer Johnson.
Ray and Delpha Roller came to visit us one day last week. We enjoyed their visit.
We talked to Irene Richards to check on Raymond Bricker. He is still in the nursing home at Seymour. We wish him a speedy recovery.
