The 2010-11 school year for Ava R-1 Schools ended Wednesday. Students were dismissed at around 12:30 to begin their summer vacation. With the end of the school year comes more daytime activity involving young people. Motorists are urged to be on watch for children walking or on bicycles, especially in residential areas and on streets and highways near the swimming pool and parks.
