Sandy Church News

It was a beautiful Mother’s Day as we came to our Lord’s house.  Each Mother received a rose for each child, grandchild and great-grandchild.  Brad Siler prayed for all our Mothers.

Pastor Neal preached from I Samuel, Hannah’s prayer.  She came to the house of the Lord, weeping and praying.  She gave her request and she vowed a vow.  Many prayer requests were shared for our nation, troops, leaders, lost loved ones, a revival, Dwight Wilson, Joe Mason and others.

Happy birthday was sung to Pastor Neal.  Have a great one, Pastor, and many more.

Stan Humbyrd prayed as he and Brad Siler received our Lord’s tithes and offerings.

Eldon Hodges gave the Lord thanks for a trip he made to see the ocean, his granddaughter’s graduation and having his family with him in church.  Other testimonies were shared also.

Carla Wilson sang.

At 6 p.m., Pastor Neal prayed followed by singing.  Testimonies were given about Godly Mothers.  Pastor Neal taught from Luke 5, the paralytic healed.  Jesus on a certain day was present to heal, but first he forgave his sins.

Tuesday at 7 p.m. is special prayer meeting.  “For my house shall be called a house of prayer”. Wednesday at 7 p.m. we will attend the Baccalaureate service at Bradleyville School for Nathan Luttrell and Dane Humbyrd from our church.

Next Sunday at 4 p.m. will be the annual Mother’s Day dinner.  The men will cook.

May 22nd at New Mansion Church revival services will begin with different young preachers.  Among those will be Van Menzies, Corby Lux, Josh Hume and Jeff Marsh, Jr.

Pray for camps coming up in June.  Pastor said all need helpers.
