We were blessed with a beautiful, warm, clear Lord’s Day in the morning and the evening services was wet and windy. Thankfully, no tornadoes or hail damage. Join us this week in prayer for those who lost loved ones in Joplin and those involved in the clean up effort there.
Ella Fay Mitchell sang a special for us before worship service and the Holts were back from Texas. Our morning messsage was from Daniel 9:5-6. The similarity between Daniel’s Confesstion” of the state of Israel’s spiritual condition and that of our own is indeed striking. You would think we would have learned something from history, but it seems, one can only hope.
Our evening message was “The Believer’s Calling” taken from the example of the calling of Abram, in Genesis 12:1-3. We observed the many similarities between our calling today. Really it should not surprise us, after all we serve the same God, who calls each of us to a personal relationship with Him, through belief and faith in His Son.
