We were blessed with a cool, breezy Lord’s Day this week, but it was warm and dry in the sanctuary and we had a great time praising the Lord. Ella Faye Mitchell sang for us.
Our morning message was “Loving/Judgment.” Was the God of the Old Testament somehow different, more judgmental than the God of the New Testament who is so loving and kind as to give His only Son. From our opening text Exodus 34:6-7, we see God’s description of himself as merciful, gracious, long suffering, abundant in goodness and truth followed by all the examples of his loving kindness toward not only Israel, but all mankind, would seem to indicate that he is and was, a truly loving God all along. In the cases where He had to administer judment it was always preceeded with an offer of compassion and forgiveness.
Our evening message was “Contrary – Are We?” If so should we be, how God views “Contrariness” and what’s the cure, from the 26th chapter of Leviticus.
We sure would like to have you come, worship with us, next Sunday, and we will save you a seat.
