Mt. Tabor Church

We had several out of church Sunday morning, however, we had good services and continue to pray for all the concerns in the community, our church, the situation in our country and the sick and bereaved.

Mae Cox reports Johnny and Pauline Pruiett made it back home safe and sound after their trip to Missouri. They had also visited with Pauline’s sister, Linda, before returning home. Mae spoke with Thetis and Huba over the weekend. Donna Nichols visited her mother, Saturday. Mae greatly appreciated Jon Nelson and friend mowing her yard.

Martin Hathcock was in Springfield last Friday for a stress test and Mary Ann is having one Wednesday. They are very “stressful” for sure, hope they go well. Pat Smith and Albert Elliott visited the Hathcocks last week.

Bessie Hall celebrated her birthday last Tuesday. Those bringing cake and ice cream and visiting were J.C. Hall and Vicky Burnett, Mr. and Mrs. Tom Elliott, Lisa Johnson and Jesse. Other visiting during the week were Jeff Elliott, Carla Wilson, Edythe Applegate and Chestene Lietch.

For a wonderful Mother’s Day gift, Myrl Cox’s children, Pat, Jeanne and Paul and friend, Rosemary, came to work in her yard and flowers. Paul came later in the week and mowed her yard, also.

Mr. and Mrs. Ronnie Lansdown were in West Plains, Saturday, entertaining their grandchildren, while Doug and Kristie were involved in a local event for the Vets.

Tom Elliott is still not feeling up to par, as he continues his treatment. Company for the Elliotts has been Shaun and LeAnna Elliott, MaKayla and Logan, James Elliott, Sharyn Jones and Mr. and Mrs. Albert Elliott.

Harlin and Shirley Hutchison and family, enjoyed Friday evening dinner with Harold and Kay Hutchison. Harlin’s family was on their way to Branson for the weekend.

Harold and Kay Hutchison spent Sunday and Monday with Kristy and Jeff Tackett in Joplin. Joining them on Sunday for lunch at a local eatery were Mr. and Mrs. Gary Mishler and Steven Tackett.
