Joie Welker led us in opening prayer to start our Sunday morning worship. After he gave the devotion we went to our classes where our lesson was on “All Things New.” He that overcometh shall inherit all things and blessings of the new heaven and new earth that has been prepared for us. God shall wipe away all tears from our eyes. There will be no more death, sorrow, crying or pain for the former things are passed away. What a wonderful time that will be.

Our special song was by the men’s quartet, Johnnie Miller, Wendell Deo, Narvil Tetrick and Rod Welker.

Congratulations goes out to Amber Miller, who was honored with a gift for passing from grade school into high school for this coming year.

Our Wednesdday night study is at 7 p.m. It will be “The Life In The Ministry of the Messiah.” Everyone join us.

The Fifth Sunday Singing will be at the new Dogwood Nazarene Church at 6 p.m.

Pastor Hall’s morning sermon was from Genesis 19:1-26, “Remember Lot’s Wife.” The angels saying arise, take thy wife and two daughters and leave the city of Sodom and Gomorrah as it was going to be destroyed because of sin and the Lord was merciful to Lot and they were odered to not look back, but as they left the city, Lot’s wife turned to look back and was turned into a pillar of salt. This shows when God says He will do something, He will. To obey is better than sacrifice. The same life God gave her, He took it away in a blink of an eye.

Be obedient to God’s way. Nothing is worse than missing Heaven, so press forward.
