Gentry Church

Opening prayer to open our Sunday morning service was given by Doug Miller.

After congregational singing, we went to classes where we studied about having thankful worship. We need to know that true worship comes from a heart that abounds in thanksgiving.

Congratulations goes out to Dylan Welker, son of Joie and Stacey Welker and Candace Miller,  daughter of Larry and Bobbie Miller on their high school graduations. Remember, always put God first in your lives.

Happy birthday wishes go out to Harley Allen.

Special songs this morning were done by Rod and Joanne Welker and Charlotte Reich.

At our Wednesday night service, May 18 at 7 p.m. we will have a video on “How We Got The Bible.” Everyone is welcome to join us.

Remember our Third Friday Night Singing at Gentry, May 20 at 7 p.m. Bring your songs, voices and join us, snacks afterwards.

Pastor Hall’s morning message was from Psalms 77. Text was taken from verse 10. David cried unto the Lord, I am troubled that I cannot speak. My soul refuses to be confronted and my eyes can’t sleep. I called to rememberance my song in the night and said this is my infirmity, but I will remember the works of the Lord.

Our nation is adrift but he dwells with his people and we are never alone, when we are lonely and have hardships, be like David and remember the Lord.

God bless.
