Ava senior Austin Clayton will participate in the State Track Meet this Friday and Saturday at Lincoln University, Jefferson City. Clayton placed third in the shot put at the state sectional meet last Saturday with a throw of 47 feet, 10 1/2 inches, qualifying him for state. The two photos above show Clayton in his throw. Clayton is also pictured at left. The Ava 4×800 relay team placed 6th at the state sectional meet at Marshfield.
