The City of Ava requests qualifications for environmental/engineering services to assist in a proposed project. The City intends to update and revise the Source Water Protection Plan with partial funding from the Missouri Department of Natural Resources.

Objectives of the project are as follows:

• Create a Source Water Protection Committee;
• Produce an updated Source Water Protection Plan with a more detailed potential contaminants inventory and realistic management strategies with a timeline for implementation;
• Conduct a public education campaign on source water protection; and
• Evaluate the source water protection program.

Information provided to the City must include:

• The specialized experience and technical competence of the agency with respect to industrial infrastructure work including water, sewer, streets, and storm drainage;
• The capacity and capability of the agency to perform the work in question, including specialized services, and to begin work immediately;
• The past record of performance of the agency with respect to such factors as control of costs, quality of work and ability to meet schedules;
• The agency’s proximity to and familiarity with the area in which the project is located; and
• References from previous clients involved with the agency within the past five years.
