I am back. I had decided to stop writing my colum at the first of this year, then I happened to tell three ladies and they were disappointed. The last three weeks I decided again no more until at church Sunday Gladys Cunningham handed me her news of the past week. They had been with friends in the Ava area and three ladies let her know they were missing my news and to tell me to keep writing. To keep you all happy, some one once said, just make something up when you do not have anything to write. There is always my beautiful flowers that got a beating from the wind and rainstorm last week and all this crazy weather every where. My heart goes to all the homeless.
It was cold Sunday, but all came out for church and Sunday night for the Awana Award Ceremony and the children were wonderful.
Oscar and Gladys attended the family visitation of Mrs. Laurence Roy. Mrs. Roy was 98 years old when the Lord came for her. The Roy family had been friends of the Cunningham’s for many years. Oscar had preached many of their funerals. Lizetta was a sweet sister of Blain Heard of Norwood, MO. The Cunninghams enjoyed seeing friends and several campers that had attended Camp JOY Bible camp when the Cunninghams owned and directed the camp as Linda Anderson and Steve Anderson once did. Randy Huff and Sherry Heard Huff had their wedding at Camp JOY and now they are grandparents.
I wish to send sympathy to the family of Dain Lambert. I always enjoyed a visit with Dain at reunions and funerals. He is always there for you in time of need. Dain was a special kind of guy.
I also wish to send my sympathy to Marilyn Gearld and her family of Mtn. Grove in the loss of her husband last week or so.
I heard this past week by way of the Grapevine in Oregon, that there will be no Fairview School Reunion this June.
The Denlow School Reunion will be May 28 at Denlow. I wish to visit with family and old friends as I will be there with my cemetery flowers.
Mother’s Day, Dave and Cathy were in Kansas City. Ryan and his best friend, Melody, of Texas were there for a wedding of best friends.
Put your hands in God’s care and spend time with Him.
