“This know also, that in the last days perilious times shall come,” II Peter 3:1.
Brother Roy Frye opened Sunday school after congregational singing. He read Isaiah 43:15-21 for the devotion. Pastor David prayed over the prayer request and we were dismissed to classes.
Our hearts go out to all the bereaved today. The terrible storms in Joplin took so many, Junie Smith family, Bell family, Riley family, Woods family and others. Please pray for them all, Kathy, Gene, unsaved, unspoken and a lot of people will be traveling.
Brother Bobby took up the offering. Blayne, Zack, Hunter and Preston did the penny march for Camp Piland. Hunter sang a special, Brother Glen Simpson sang, Pastor David sang then preached from I Peter 1:13-14. We are to be free from every sort of mental and spiritual intoxication. We must have our hearts and minds focused on Christ and His returning. We need to be ready for that day.
We missed Dara, Bailey, Howard, Brian, Denny and Richard, Annie and children.
We recognized the rest of the children for attendance and memory work. We studied Jesus’ ascension in children’s church.
We had a special little guest left at the church. It was a cute little calico kitten. It has a new home with Angie and Bobby Turley.
We had our Fourth Sunday Night Singing. We enjoyed all the specials and testimonies.
Please join us for worship if you are looking for a church family.
May God bless you always.
