Black Oak Church

“The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want,” Psalms 23:1.

Brother Roy Frye read the 23rd Psalms for our devotion. After we sang to open Sunday school. Pastor David prayed then we went to class.

We sang Happy Birthday to Lois Graham. We wish you many more.

Brother Bobby Turley took up the offering. Hope, Austin, and Hunter did the penny march for Camp Piland.

We presented certificates to the children for attendance and memory work.

Please pray for Dara Strong, Pat Brazeal, Kathy Lindquist, Gene Pool, Mike Jones, Louise and Glenn Simpson, Betty Satterfield and family, the lost, bereaved, unspoken, military, our country and leaders and other churches.

We missed Kenny, Wanda, Denny, Brian, Carrie, Drew, Reece, Preston, Lauren, Blayne, Zack, Bailey and Howard. Hope everyone is better and back next Sunday.

Hunter sang a special for us. Pastor David sang then preached God’s message from Colossians 2:5-10.

Paul wrote to the church not out of concern but because they were faithful and rooted in Christ. We don’t worry about our family that are saved, but we do about those who are not.

The children made family chains in children’s church then we joined them all together to show God’s big family.

Sunday evening we met together for singing and testimonies. Megan Goforth read a poem for us. Dara Strong sang a special. Pastor David sang then preached God’s message from Matthew and Luke. The lost sheep. We must never stop looking til we find it and bring it into the fold where it is safe and will live forever in heaven. We can get tired in the work, but never of the work. Jesus came to save the lost. They are not looking for Him so we have to find them and lead them to Him.

We had a very good day of worship and are so thankful for God and the plan of salvation. We’re thankful for our church family and brothers and sisters in Christ everywhere. Join us for worship and Bible study. You will be loved.

May God bless you always.
